Wood trains and toy vehicles are wonderful open-ended play tools.  They encourage a child's imagination and creativity as well as develop hand-eye coordination and spacial and social skills (like sharing!).  Role playing (as a train engineer, a fireman, a police officer, emergency medical assistant, a farmer, bus driver or construction worker) is an equally important part of a child's development.  It can all start with one of these quality, durable and safe toys.
